Seventeen years of research confirms that most successful adults who grew up in disadvantaged neighborhoods or were labeled "at-risk" became dissatisfied and wanted a different life. They knew there was a different life they could live and they learned how to succeed in a world they had never before navigated.
What we do
The Thompson Twins Book Series is a culturally appropriate and engaging series designed to appeal to inner-city low income children, while having a broad appeal to all students ages 8 -12.
At Achievement U, we offer books, film-making projects, and other experiential activities, that engage students with people who grew up with adversity and created successful lives. Our programs help you empower low income inner-city young people to dream and know that they can thrive.
We provide the tools and resources parents, teachers, community and faith-based organizations need to help young people achieve their goals.
